New results on robust H/spl infin/ filtering for time-varying delay uncertain linear systems

Abstract

This paper deals with the problem of robust delay-dependent H infin filter design for time-varying delay uncertain linear systems. The obtained filter is of the general linear observer type, and it guarantees that the filtering system remains asymptotically stable and satisfies a prescribed H infin performance level for all uncertainties that reside in a given polytope. A new Lyapunov-Krasovskii function is obtained. Our design is developed without using bounding of mixed terms in the proof of the BRL and is expected to be least conservative as compared to existing design methods. Some examples are provided to demonstrate the validity of proposed design approach
