Lasing in laminar PbI2single crystals

Abstract

An investigation was made of some features of lasing in laminar PbI2 single crystals as a function of the sample temperature (5 < T < 100K), thickness, and polytype. An interpretation of the results is given using a model of a microlaser with natural partial optical resonators containing a passive zone.
