Abstract: In light of the rapid expansion of e-commerce, this study explores how Indian consumers' purchasing habits have evolved. Consumers are increasingly favouring online platforms over traditional retail due to factors such as rising internet penetration, the growth of digital payment systems, and widespread smart phone accessibility. Focusing on selected e-commerce companies, the study examines key elements influencing purchasing decisions, including pricing, convenience, trust, and personalised experiences. It also considers the impact of demographic factors, technological advancements, and digital literacy on consumer behaviour. The research indicates that Indian consumers are placing greater emphasis on accessibility, affordability, and timely delivery. In response, e-commerce platforms have developed innovative strategies to enhance user engagement and foster customer loyalty. This study offers valuable insights for businesses seeking to understand and adapt to the shifting patterns of digital consumer behaviour in the Indian market.
