Relación profesor-alumno en la universidad: arista fundamental para el aprendizaje.

Abstract

This study is aimed to identify some features of the relationship among teachers and students that are useful in the learning process. All this according to a survey implemented in students in five programs at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC) (Architecture, Biology, Education, Engineering and Psychology) that worked with ten focus groups using a qualitative methodology. Students valued and rejected similar features. They expect recognition from their teachers, motivation to learn and fair standards by which teachers do not overuse their power and do a good work. Students considered that a positive teaching relationship provides a good instance to learn, participate and grow.
