Algoritmos genéticos aplicados a la recuperación de información

Abstract

The present work consists in the analysis of scientific research on evolutionary computation techniques applied to the field of Information Retrieval (IR) during the period of the last 20 years (1988-2008). We analyse the existing scientific production in this field, its evolution over time, leading researchers, and above all, the most widely used genetic tools, the specific application areas within the scope of the RI, as well as the main results are analyzed.
