The incorporation of artificial intelligence (AI) in higher education has revolutionized the way learning is personalized. This article analyzes the main applications of AI in university settings, highlighting its ability to adapt content, identify learning styles, monitor academic progress, and provide immediate feedback. Through intelligent systems, the educational experience is optimized by offering personalized learning paths, virtual assistants, and early alerts about academic difficulties. Nevertheless, ethical challenges related to privacy, algorithmic transparency, and fairness in automated decision-making are also addressed. The evidence gathered suggests that AI not only enhances academic performance and student motivation but also strengthens the relationship between teachers and students, establishing itself as a key tool for more inclusive, efficient, and student-centered education.
