The incorporation of artificial intelligence (AI) in learning environments has caused a significant shift in pedagogical practices, culminating in the development of learning systems that are adaptive as well as personalized. This research investigates the paradigm shift and explores how artificial intelligence enable real-time customization of learning trajectories and content to the specific requirements of individual learners. This research is based on the Education 4.0 and Education 5.0 paradigms. An exhaustive analysis of conceptual and empirical literature is supplemented with primary data collected from 317 respondents measuring the effects of artificial intelligence's on student learning, performance, and satisfaction towards personalized learning. The findings focus on a multitude of concerns including algorithmic prejudice, data confidentiality, and accessibility in equal amounts. The research provides strategic recommendations for incorporating ethical artificial intelligence models into future learning environments in the area of AI-based learning.
