Economic-Driven Distributed Secondary Optimal Frequency Control for Microgrids with Time-Varying Loads

Abstract

This paper is concerned with optimal frequency control of microgrids with time-vary loads. A distributed strategy incorporating a dynamic average consensus algorithm is proposed for microgrids such that frequency regulation and economic dispatch can be achieved simultaneously. Based on the theoretical analysis, it is shown that the convergence of the proposed algorithm can be ensured. Finally, an illustrative example on the IEEE 14-busis presented to verify the effectiveness of this method,.
