In this paper, we investigate the prescribed-time distributed secondary frequency control problem of the microgrid with time-varying heterogeneous time delays. Namely, the controlled output states of all distributed generations (DGs) can be regulated to its corresponding target values at arbitrary prescribed time instants. Two novel prescribedtime control algorithms are presented for guaranteeing the synchronization of frequency restoration among DGs, meanwhile achieving the optimal active power sharing. With the proposed control algorithms, the negative effect of time delays can be fully compensated by compensation terms, and the actual convergence time is equal to the prescribed time without time delay. The Lyapunov stability theory is employed to obtain the sufficient criteria on the control parameters for the above control objective. Finally, simulation results are provided for demonstrating the effectiveness of the presented control algorithms.
