Programmable Acoustic Holography using Medium‐Sound‐Speed Modulation (Adv. Sci. 23/2023)

Abstract

Programmable Acoustic Holography Method In article number 2301489, Mingxin Xu, David J. Collins, and colleagues report a programmable acoustic holography method that generates engineered acoustic fields for manipulating microscopic objects. By encoding multiple images in a holographic phase plate and adjusting the medium's sound speed, diverse acoustic patterns can be created. This approach holds potential for applications in micromanipulation and sound velocity indicators. [Image: see text]
