Abstract

This work proposes a dual band microstrip fed patch antenna suitable for 5G mobile networks access. The antenna resonates at 28GHz and 38GHz frequency and requires large infrastructure for implementation. Dual band response is achieved by etching a semi-circular slot in the main radiator and introducing another resonator close to this slot which radiates electromagnetic energy. The proposed antenna has a satisfactory gain at both frequency bands and shows omnidirectional radiations and is useful for mobile users and is exclusively used for microwave technology applications.
