This paper presents a dual-polarized angle-selective surface with three layers of frequency-selective surfaces. The top and middle layers are identical to ensure the symmetry of the structure. A low-pass spatial filter is achieved with this two-layer structure for TE polarization. Then, the third layer is designed, which also shows the low-pass spatial filtering performance for TM polarization. The dual-polarized angular selectivity can finally be generated by combing three layers together separated by air space. Simulation results show that a passband (|S 21 | > –1 dB) from 0 ° to15° and a stopband (| S 21 | < −20 dB) from 45 ° to 80 ° are observed at 9 GHz for both polarizations.
