Validez de constructo del instrumento para evaluar el trabajo docente en la organización de clase (IEOC)

Abstract

The objective of this work was to determine the construct validity of the instrument that was built to assess teaching work in class organization (IEOC, instrumento para evaluar el trabajo docente en la organización de clase). This instrument was originated from the “class organization” dimension; part of the instrument that was developed to measure teacher learning, a result of the performance assessment process (IEAD, instrumento para medir el aprendizaje del docente como producto del proceso de evaluación al desempeño), whose authorship belongs to the author of this work. The study was considered under the instrumental type. For the collection of data, an intentional sample was used and it consisted of 108 participants, academic figures who participated in the application of the IEAD, and therefore, in the IEOC. The result of the construct validity that was carried out through the correlation test “total domain” obtained a value of 0.73 of Spearman’s Rho coefficient. This value is considered as “excellent” and indicative of the association between the operating variables in the IEOC study. Regarding the confirmatory validity test that was carried out through the linear regression, the obtained information supports this result, since the value of the coefficient of determination R2 indicated that the independent variable accounts for 95.4% for the behavior of the dependent variable. Another result that supported the validity of the IEOC was the Durbin-Watson statistic obtained also in this test; the value of “D” was 2.06, very close to the ideal “2”...
