2-Amino-4-(2-chlorophenyl)-6-(naphthalen-1-yl)pyridine-3-carbonitrile

Abstract

In the title compound, C 22 H 14 ClN 3 , prepared by a one-pot reaction under microwave irradiation, the dihedral angles between the central pyridine ring and the pendant naphthyl and chlorobenzene ring systems are 49.2 (2) and 58.2 (3)°, respectively. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of N—H...N hydrogen bonds generate R 2 2 (8) loops. The pyridine N atom is the acceptor.
