Simulation and experiment of low-loss optical coupling between polymer waveguide and single-mode fiber using 45 °mirror and self-formed lens

Abstract

The low-loss optical coupling between a polymer waveguide and a single-mode fiber using 45°mirror and self-formed lens was studied with the simulation for various optical fiber-tip structures, and the preliminary experiments verified its effectiveness.
