Abstract

The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and its affiliated organizations expend considerable effort organizing and conducting professional conferences. These programs generally contain a variety of activities designed for classroom teachers. If you have ever been to one, you have no doubt felt the enthusiasm of the speaker and maybe you went away from the conference all “fired up” and eager to go back and teach. Many of your colleagues have often felt the same way. This generated enthusiasm is often a major strength of the conference.
