The task of sensor networks is to monitor and collect data in a geographical region. The random distribution of sensor nodes in a given coverage area has high importance. The limited energy resources of sensor nodes in the wireless network have concerned for the design of the system. The area is divided into the different region and each region can have more cluster head together and transmit data to base staion. The data are collected by its surrounding nodes and send to its cluster head. The cluster heads are cooperatively transmitted data to the base station. The ability to performing the task depends on the available residual energy of the nodes and cluster head. The Paper proposed an Energy Efficient Two Tier Cluster based protocol is used to partition the network into different levels. Doing this enhances the residual energy of the node and cluster head. The proposed protocol simulation shows that as multilevel cluster area formation on variable network size and node size along with Sleep and Wakeup concept increases network lifetime and reduces overheads. The network lifetime does not increase as we increase the node. The result shows that the optimal number of the node may be used for designing the system.
