Abstract

In this paper free vibration of functionally graded piezoelectric circular plate is studied for fixed-fixed boundary condition. Elastic stiffness, piezoelectric and dielectric coefficient of plate vary continuously along the thickness of the plate by using power law. Material properties of FGPM plate varies from PZT-5H to PZT-4. Bottom surface of FGPM plate is PZT-5H and top surface is PZT-4 rich. Top and bottom surface of plate is kept grounded. FGPM annular plate is polarised in radial direction. Here, shear effect is also produced by using d15 coupling coefficient. Free vibration is analysed for different-different geometrical parameters. In the present age functionally graded piezoelectric material is widely used in making smart devices, sensor, actuators, ultrasonic motor, MEMS. This present research is very useful for developing existing application and developing new ones utilizing the FGPM annular plate.
