A Compact Planar Triple band slotted Antenna for Wireless Applications

Abstract

A compact (20 × 20 × 1.6mm 3 ) planar antenna operating at 1.33 (GNSS)/2.5 (Lower WiMAX)/4.2 (C-band) is presented. The triple band operations in the proposed configuration are achieved by using slots in the ground and radiating part. The antenna has S 11 <; -10dB bandwidth of 5.8% (1.34-1.42 GHz), 3.6% (2.48-2.57 GHz) and 2.4% (4.10-4.20GHz) centered at 1.40/2.55/4.15GHz in simulation. Under measurement, the antenna has S 11 <; -10 dB bandwidth of about 12.5% (1.20-1.36 GHz), 9.5% (2.40-2.64 GHz) and 3.8% (4.17-4.33 GHz) centered at 1.33/2.52/4.28 GHz, respectively.
