Desalination of Water Using Cellulose Paper Coated with Graphene Oxide Nanostructured Material

Abstract

Different types of reagents and processes are utilized for desalinating water which is used for domestic applications. In this work Graphene oxide nanostructures are used for filtration of tap water, salinated water, methyl orange dye and heavy metal salts like cupric sulphate and zinc acetate. The work includes synthesize of Graphene oxide Nanostructured material by modified hummers method and Characterization using Optical microscope, Scanning Electron microscope and UV-Visible spectroscopy. The Nanostructured material is dip coated on cellulose paper for filtration analysis.
