Design of Dual-polarized Frequency Selective Absorbers

Abstract

This paper presents the design and investigation of dual-polarized frequency selective absorbers. The absorber are consists of two layers. The square loop resonators with lumped resistors are the lossy layers, while the lossless layers are ground with square slots. The frequency selective absorbers exhibit broad absorption bands at the sides of passbands. The designed absorber transmits in-band wave and absorbs the incoming out-of-band wave. Hence, it can be applied as a radome and has potential for radar stealth application.
