A W-band large aspect ratio sheet beam extended interaction oscillator

Abstract

A W-band large aspect ratio sheet beam extended interaction oscillator with a ladder like structure is discussed in this paper. The sheet beam with voltage 45 kV and current 2.5 A has the cross section 6mm×0.2mm which aspect ratio is 30∶1. The operation mode is the 2π mode of TM 110 . Simulation result of CST-PIC shows the output power of the cavity is 7 kW.
