Information system is the technical basis to the supply chain of retailers. However, the existing systems mainly care about the products instead of service. With the emergence of services science, it is considerably significant to catch and predict the dynamic needs of customers and provide them with the best service. Obviously, the traditional technology cannot keep pace with the development of market. Under the era of information and big data, it is urgent for every retailer to establish a new service-oriented information system. Cloud computing would solve this problem well because the data can be synced and shared anytime and anywhere in cloud. Carre four is one of the most successful foreign companies in China, but the development of Carre four is not very smooth. In this paper, we select Carre four to analyze its development history in China and the existing problems in the supply chain. In order to distinguish itself from the competitors, we recommend Carrefour adopt service-oriented information system (IS in cloud) in the future and give the details of our method.
