Abstract

An implicit and globally conservative Chimera grid method is proposed in the paper. Implicit link between Chimera zones is achieved in the approach. This approach has better freedom and flexibility in grid handling, and more robust compared with arbitrary interface; while provide implicit connection and global conservation to maintain good convergence and accuracy of the solution compared with explicit chimera method. Through a variety of testing cases, it is found that the proposed approach is very robust and high accuracy.
