A parallel unstructured Chimera grid method

Abstract

This paper presents parallel strategies, parallel implementation and performance assessment for a newly developed unstructured Chimera grid method (N3CHIMERA) [7]. The present parallel strategies include domain decomposition, connectivity exchange and load balance. These schemes are coupled with an unstructured flow solver (N3CFD) and used for unsteady flow calculations with moving geometries. Numerical tests indicate the parallel performance based on these strategies is good.
