Abstract

Abstract The crystal structures of the title compounds are reported. Me 2 Si[N(SiMe 3 ) 2 ] 2 : Space group Pbcn, Z = 4, lattice dimensions at 213 K: a = 1487.8(1), b = 1299.4(1), c = 1259.7(1) pm. The compound forms monomeric molecules with crystallographic C 2 symmetry and Si-N bond lengths of 177.9(3), 171.6(3) and 175,2(3) pm. [Me 2 Si(NPh)(NHPh)Li·OEt 2 ] 2 : Space group P2 1 /n, Z = 2, lattice dimensions at 190 K: a = 1082.7(3), b = 1038.8(2), c = 1641.3(4) pm, β = 91.350(3)°. The compound forms centrosymmetric dimeric molecules in which the lithium atoms are members of a Li 2 N 2 ring with Li-N bond lengths of 206.6(2) and 213.5(2) pm. The hydrogen atom at the nitrogen atom of the HNPh - group is not involved in hydrogen bridging bonds.
