ζ-Potential, Surface Charge Density, Surface Dye Adsorption and Effective Surface Area of Natural and Synthetic Fibers in Dye Solutions.

Abstract

各種の天然および合成繊維の水中(pH7)におけるζポテンシァルを比較し,一般に親水性の繊維ほどζポテンシァルは小さく,疎水性の繊維ほどζポテンシァルが大きいことを確かめたが,これらの繊維-水系のζポテンシァルはpHによって相当変動することより,実際の染色にあたっては具体的に個々の場合についてζポテンシャルを考慮すべきことを指摘した。各種繊維-染料系の表面電荷密度より,繊維表面の単位面積あたりの染着量を求め,これと全染着量とを比較検討し,また表面染着量については合成繊維は一般に難染性ではないことを認めた。また二,三の繊維-染料系について,染着にあずかる有効表面積を求め,酸性染料溶液における羊毛およびナイロン6の場合について,有効表面積と飽和染着量が並行関係にあることを認めた。
