Implicit PID self-tuning controller and its applications

Abstract

An implicit PID self tuning control algorithm is presented for an intermittently operated chemical reactor in a chemical plant, which is difficult to control with model set up. Getting rid of so many problems in rounding up the parameters of conventional PID algorithm and the length of time to be spent, the algorithm can implement the real time online identification for controlled objects with self tuning function provided for PID controller parameters. Also, the algorithm shows relatively strong robustness via simulation. Therefore, it is available in practice.
