Stretchable Electronics: Facile Preparation of High‐Performance Elastically Stretchable Interconnects (Adv. Mater. 25/2015)

Abstract

The front cover shows a 2D stretchable network prepared in a facile two-step approach by P. Görrn and co-workers, as described on page 3755. The vacuum- and solvent-free method addresses two critical issues in stretchable electronics – poor adhesion and difficult patterning. The resulting wrinkled silver lines are reversibly stretchable under varying stretching directions. Furthermore, they enable rigid-to-soft interconnects that allow for the integration of rigid electronics into stretchable networks.
