Abstract

The challenges and recent progress of mobility management are first reviewed. The next-generation mobile networks are described. A solution to mobility management in next-generation mobile networks is proposed which adapts mobile IPv6, hierarchical mobile IPv6 and fast handovers for mobile IPv6 into mobile networks. Finally comments on the proposed solution are given.
