Double-sided parallel-strip line-fed radial dipole

Abstract

This work presents a radial dipole fed by a double-sided parallel-strip transmission line. The radial portion of the dipole effectively shortens the dipole by 29.1%, while maintaining a 22.4% bandwidth and a 96.9% radiation efficiency. This dipole has a center frequency of 2.95 GHz and a maximum gain of 2.08 dBi.
