Power Allocation of Multi-Users Based on Optimal Power Allocation Algorithm in Uplink Base Stations Cooperative System

Abstract

In cellular systems with tight frequency reuse, one base station receives signals not only from users in local cell but also from users in adjacent cell, which cause co-channel interference. In this paper, we achieve a base stations cooperative system based on a successive interference cancellation method and a power allocation algorithm with low backhaul traffic. It requires users detected in local base station with an order. One base station detects local users firstly, then it passes on the information to the other base stations so that the other base stations detect local users. Since quantized reliability information is transferred system enable better detection of the received data streams and required lower backhaul traffic. The total backhaul traffic is always less than joint detection for a few base stations in cooperation. The proposed power allocation strategies are to be used together with the cooperative system to achieve some required performance regardless scenario and location of users. The power allocation algorithm can achieve maximizing throughput, and minimizing bit error rate with a constant transmitted power based on optimal power allocation algorithm according to practical needs.
