Integrated optical devices for fiber gyroscope applications

Abstract

Fourteen years after its inception, the fiber optic gyro (FOG) has reached the advanced development stage. Approximately a dozen companies are actively involved in FOG development, with several expecting limited production runs to begin within 5 years for low cost, moderate grade gyros.
