Integrated-optical circuit for fibre gyroscope applications

Abstract

An integrated-optic chip containing two acousto-optic frequency shifters and a TE-pass polariser is presented. All the elements needed for a fibre-optic gyroscope using the frequency-shift method are realised on one LiNbO3 chip.
