Abstract

Abstract The direct preparation and purification of (η5-C5H5)Fe(CO)(PPh3)(alkyl) compounds from the reaction of (η5-C5H5)Fe(CO)(PPh3)I with alkyl lithium salts is described. The new derivatives (alkyl = n-butyl, iso-butyl, and sec-butyl) have been prepared and characterized.
