Abstract

Abstract A dual‐frequency and dual‐linear polarization multilayer microstrip antenna element for array‐antenna applications is presented. The performance of the element was computed using a commercial software based on the finite‐element‐method (FEM) algorithm. A prototype with dimensions based on the simulations was built and tested. Good agreement between the measured and numerical results is obtained. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
