Dual-frequency microstrip array antenna with dual-polarization

Abstract

In this paper, to transmit and receive differently polarized signals simultaneously with a single antenna system, a microstrip array antenna with dual-frequency and dual-polarization is proposed and designed. To extend to a two dimensional array, hybrid feeding structures with microstrip feed lines and via-holes are used. The measured results show that the resonant frequencies are 12.675 GHz and 14.225 GHz, respectively, and the bandwidths are more than 500 MHz at both resonant frequencies.
