Magnetic Domain Structures of Electrodeposited Nickel-Iron Films

Abstract

Bitter patterns obtained in the electrodeposited nickel-iron films are presented. Magnetic domain patterns observed are nearly the same as those observed in evaporated films. The magnetic properties, particularly the direction of the uniaxial anisotropy, of the films are mainly dependent on the polishing direction of the substrate. The rolling direction of the substrate and the direction of the magnetic field in which the electrodepositions were performed have no significant effects.
