Abstract

The new compounds Ca 3 Ge 2 P 4 , Sr 3 Ge 2 P 4 and Ba 3 Si 2 As 4 crystallize in the inonoclinic system with the following lattice constants: The two different structure types correspond to different kinds of connection of Ge 2 P 6 and Si 2 As 6 units, respectively, to chains. In both cases these chains are ordered parallel to each other to layers between which the alkaline earth atoms are located
