Stresses and Magnetic Domain Structure of Amorphous Alloys

Abstract

In recent papers the relation between stresses and magnetic domain structure is still analyzed based on a simplified assumption, that the magnetoelastic anisotropy energy density will be a minimum with respect to the orientation of the magnetization. In the present paper the relation between stresses and domain structure is exactly treated on the basis of the micromagnetic equations using the stability condition following from the condition that the Gibbs free energy of the ferromagnetic specimen as a whole must be a minimum. In der Literatur wird die Beziehung zwischen Spannungen und magnetischer Domänenstruktur generell auf der Grundlage einer vereinfachten Annahme, daß die magnetoelastische Energiedichte bezüglich der Orientierung der Magnetisierung ein Minimum annimmt, analysiert. In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird die Beziehung zwischen Spannungen und Domänenstruktur exakt auf der Grundlage der mikromagnetischen Gleichungen behandelt, wobei die aus der Forderung folgende Stabilitätsbedingung, daß die freie Enthalpie des gesamten Ferromagneten ein Minimum sein muß, verwendet wird.
