Abstract

Abstract The title compound is prepared by treating ReNCL with excess POCl 3 . The complex is isotypic with the corresponding tungsten complex [WNCl 3 · POCl 3 ] 4 · 2 POCl 3 . The structure consists of Re 4 N 4 eight-membered rings with alternating Re ≡ N-Re bonds. The IR spectrum was recorded and assigned.
