Abstract

The infrared spectra of the compounds Cs 2 50 Cr 2 O 7 and Cs 2 53 Cr 2 O 7 have been measured. An approximate normal coordinate analysis has been performed on the basis of these frequencies. The result confirms the assignment of the band at 70-90 cm -1 to the CrOCr deformation mode.
