Phase shifter requirements in single-sideband modulator circuits †

Abstract

Abstract The conditions required to make a two-branch modulator-phase-shifter combination capable of a single-sideband output are reviewed, and it is shown that they are of the same form as can be deduced for a circuit with an arbitrary arrangement of modulators and phase shifters.
