Abstract

The Telecommunications Information Networking Architecture (TINA) Consortium is designing a common software architecture which allows providers to build, deliver and manage new multimedia services quickly and easily. The article concentrates on the task carried out by a European project of implementing a pan-European TINA-based service management platform. While simple services were created at the beginning of the project, more advanced multimedia services are now being implemented, such as audio/video conferencing. The status of the implementation and interoperability issues are presented.
