Next generation high speed optical transmission systems beyond 100G

Abstract

We propose that beyond 100G optical transmission systems evolution can be independent of next generation Ethernet standard. Network spectral efficiency (NSE) of single optical carrier is considered as key specification and 50GHz gird is preferred.
