Abstract

Abstract Thiolato com pounds such as tC 4 H 9 N = V(SR) 3 (R = t C 4 H 9 , SiPh 3 ), i C 3 H 7 N = V(S t C 4 H 9 ) 3 and t C 4 H 9 N = V(O t C 4 H 9 )„(S t C 4 H 9 ) 3-n (n = 1,2) have been prepared by reaction of im inovanadium (V) chlorides with LiSR. The properties of t C 4 H 9 N = V(S t C 4 H 9 ) 3 are studied by redistribution and hydrolysis reactions. 1 H. 13 C, 51 V NMR spectra are discussed; the constants of 51 V, 14 N coupling have been determined. X-R ay diffraction analyses confirm a distorted tetrahedral arrangement of the ligands in the vanadium (V) complexes 5 and 9
