Dedicated Short-Range Communication System for Vehicle-to-Vehicle Data Transmission on the Basis of Chaotic Waveform Codes (DSRC-VVDT)

Abstract

In the paper we propose a new approach to design a new vehicle-to-vehicle data transmission (VVDT) system using dedicated short-range communication (DSRC) standard for data transmission in real-time scale between all cars within an highway area having 2 km in radius. Combination of frequency and CDMA channels separation and chaotic waveform coding for implementing CDMA standards are distinguishing features of the suggested DSRC-VVDT system. A new method for the CDMA code prescribing to each car within the working range of DSRC-VVDT system enables usage of identical standard Tx/Rx equipment for all vehicles.
