Abstract

The Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) Dedicated Short Range Communication (DSRC) is the new communication method which is developed for the data transmission between vehicles in order to improve the efficiency of the traffic flow on roads and to reduce traffic accidents. However, according to the close investigation of this communication protocol, it has been found that this protocol lacks the security from malicious hacking. A new method to improve the security of the DSRC protocol has been developed and presented in this paper. The computer simulation results are included in this paper.
