Abstract

Problems of the application of three-layer composite coatings for cutting tools with the nanostructured granular structure and nanoscale thickness of sublayers are considered. It is shown that the cutting tools with the multilayer composite coating having a nanoscale granular and sublayer structure provide a substantial enhancement of the treatment efficiency in comparison with tools having standard coatings with similar chemical composition.
