Synthesis, Structure, and Reactivity of [Mn2(μ‐H)2(CO)6(μ‐Ph2PCH2PPh2)]

Abstract

The title compound 1 is capable of undergoing intra- and intermolecular H2-elimination reactions as well as insertion into a Mn2(μ-H) bridge. Its high reactivity is revealed in reactions with p-MeC6H4SH, S8, tBuNC, MeCN and alkynes. The Mn-Mn distance in 1 is 2.699(2) Å.
